Phillips Nizer is pleased to announce that Zdzislaw “Zee” W. Wieckowski has joined the firm’s Corporate & Business Law Department and Securities & Private Placement and International groups as a partner. Mr. Wieckowski practices in domestic and international private equity and venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, public company takeovers and public-to-private transactions, as well as privatizations, restructurings, representing companies, shareholders and creditors.
Mr. Wieckowski specializes in representing U.S. investors in emerging markets, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe. He represents clients in the technology, media, telecommunications, financial services, retail, transport, infrastructure (i.e. water, waste and power), and energy sectors.
Prior to joining Phillips Nizer, Mr. Wieckowski was a partner based in the European offices of an international law firm where he headed the Corporate and M&A Practice. He has been cited as a leading private equity lawyer in “Chambers Global – EMEA”, “PLC Which Lawyer” and the “Legal 500”.
Mr. Wieckowski received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1978. He earned an M.B.A. from Boston College in 1985 and graduated from Boston University, summa cum laude, with a Bachelor’s degree in 1975. Mr. Wieckowski is admitted in Massachusetts only.
