International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Catherine X. Pan has joined the Corporate Group in the Firm’s New York office as a Partner. Ms. Pan has a business transactional practice that focuses on corporate and securities law, equity and debt financing, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity financing, and commercial transactions. She routinely serves as outside general counsel to clients.
Ms. Pan’s experience crosses numerous industries, including mining, real estate and hospitality, retail, investment banking, financial services, manufacturing, software, Internet, digital media, biotech, medical device, and energy and clean tech. She has extensive experience in helping Chinese companies do business overseas and helping US and European companies do business in China.

Ms. Pan holds law degrees from Harvard Law School (where she was a Landon Gammon Scholar and F. Y. Chan Scholar) and Fudan University in China. She was previously with Goodwin Procter in New York.
