White and Williams Continues Growth of New York Office with Addition of Prominent Litigation and Bankruptcy Lawyer

Mitchell G. Mandell has joined White and Williams LLP as a partner in the Commercial Litigation and Financial Restructuring & Bankruptcy Groups. He will reside in the firm’s New York office.

Mandell has more than 25 years experience handling commercial litigation matters and corporate transactions and specializes in the resolution of global commercial disputes, involving both foreign and domestic businesses. His clients span a wide variety of industries, including technology, health care, investment and commercial banking, venture capital, manufacturing and entertainment.

In addition to his commercial litigation experience, Mandell counsels clients on bankruptcy litigation, creditor’s rights and corporate reorganization issues. He has advised financial institutions, creditors and troubled companies in out-of-court debt restructuring, as well as parties involved in the acquisition of assets from Chapter 11 companies, and the buying and selling of the debt of such companies.

“Mitchell is an important addition to the firm and furthers our commitment to growing the New York office” said Guy Cellucci, Managing Partner of White and Williams and Chair of the Executive Committee. “His extensive experience is a valuable addition to our team and we are excited to have him on board.”

Mandell is one of several partners White and Williams has brought on laterally to the New York office in the last year, expanding the capabilities and client base of the firm.

Mandell received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1985 and his B.A. from Rutgers University in 1982. Prior to joining White and Williams, he was a partner at Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A. where he was head of the New York Office Litigation Practice Group.
