Day Pitney LLP is pleased to announce that prominent IP lawyer Andrew Riddles has joined the firm’s Intellectual Property group as a partner. He will divide his time between the firm’s Stamford and New York offices.
A seasoned IP litigator with more than 25 years of experience, Mr. Riddles has handled all aspects of intellectual property litigation and has appeared before federal district courts across the country, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. International Trade Commission and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. He has successfully litigated patent infringement cases, for both plaintiff and defendant, involving a wide variety of technologies, including optics, computer hardware and software, telecommunications, e-commerce, semiconductor circuits and microwave transmission. He was also involved in some of the pioneering business method and computer software patent litigations.
“Andrew’s in-depth experience and his stellar reputation in the field of IP litigation will further enhance Day Pitney’s capabilities in this area,” said Elizabeth A. Alquist, chair of Day Pitney’s Intellectual Property group. “His all-around skills in IP litigation, patent opinion work and counseling will provide a valuable benefit for clients in a wide range of industries.”
In addition to his IP trial practice, Mr. Riddles also dedicates a substantial portion of his practice to representing parties in numerous complex technology and multi-party matters. His experience includes the negotiation of technology transfer agreements and the resolution of multiparty litigation claims. He trained in negotiation at the Harvard Negotiation Institute and the Oxford Programme on Negotiation and serves on the Mediation Panel for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
