Day Pitney is pleased to announce thatĀ Jeffrey S. Held has joined the firm as partner in the Real Estate, Environmental and Land Use department. A real estate transactions veteran, Mr. Held has been involved in numerous stand-alone real estate transactions and provided real estate guidance in significant corporate and financing transactions. He will be based in Day Pitney’s New York office.

Mr. Held’s practice focuses on advising clients on matters involving the purchase, sale, financing and development of improved and unimproved commercial real estate properties throughout the U.S. and in numerous cross-border transactions. Mr. Held has also represented landlords and tenants in sophisticated office and retail leasing projects, working with clients on operating and net lease arrangements. His clients have included national and international entertainment companies, hotel and restaurant owners and operators.
He joins Day Pitney from O’Melveny & Myers LLP, where he was head of that firm’s New York real estate practice. He was also a member of the Transactions department and the Mergers and Acquisitions practice group.
In addition to his real estate practice, Mr. Held has counseled private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint venture arrangements, strategic investments and financings. He has also advised clients on general corporate matters, including working with management on employment and equity arrangements.
