Sullivan & Worcester LLP is pleased to announce that Harry H. Rimm has joined the Litigation Group as a partner in the New York office. Mr. Rimm has significant experience defending corporations in complex civil litigation in numerous federal and state jurisdictions and handling corporate investigations and white-collar criminal matters.
Earlier this year, Mr. Rimm defended a financial institution in a two-week jury trial in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York in Brooklyn, recovering more than $30 million on his client’s counterclaims. Mr. Rimm’s other recent matters include defending claims for securities fraud; price fixing; fraudulent transfer; consumer fraud; breach of contract; and breach of fiduciary duty. He also continues to handle internal investigations for small companies and large corporations and to represent individuals and corporations being investigated and prosecuted for, among other things, fraud.
Mr. Rimm is a former law clerk to Judge Victor Marrero of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Upon the completion of his clerkship, he served as an Assistant United States Attorney, where he led criminal investigations, conducted trials in federal court to jury verdict and handled appeals. Before joining Sullivan & Worcester, Mr. Rimm was a partner with Reed Smith.
“We are thrilled to add a litigator of Harry’s stature,” said Andrew Solomon, leader of the Securities & Complex Commercial Litigation Group. “His experience with mission-critical commercial litigation for corporate clients is a great asset to our team.”
