Skadden is pleased to announce Michael P. Reed has joined the firm as a partner in its Financial Institutions Group. Based in New York, Mr. Reed advises financial institutions, financial technology companies, specialty finance companies, mortgage banking companies, financial sponsor investors and asset management firms on a wide range of M&A transactions and capital markets matters. In addition, he counsels clients, including boards of directors, on regulatory, compliance, disclosure and strategic matters.

Sidley is pleased to announce that Bonnie Neuman, Melissa Hinkle, Nick Brandfon, and Molly Lovedale have joined Sidley’s Real Estate practice as partners. In addition, Andrea Weitzman joins as counsel. The group joins from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP along with a team of nine associates. Ms. Neuman was a member of Cadwalader’s Management Committee, co-chair of its Finance Group, and head of the firm’s Real Estate Finance practice. Bonnie joins Sidley’s office in New York and will co-lead the firm’s Real Estate group. Ms. Hinkle, Mr. Brandfon, and Ms. Weitzman also join Sidley’s office in New York. Ms. Lovedale will be part of the Washington, D.C. team.

Alok Choksi Joins Mintz’s Securities and Capital Markets Practice

Alok Choksi has joined as Member in Mintz’s Securities and Capital Markets Practice in the firm’s New York office. Alok is a corporate attorney with extensive experience representing investment banks and domestic and foreign private issuers in equity securities offerings and strategic investments. Prior to joining Mintz, Alok was a partner in the Capital Markets and Securities Practice Group at Haynes Boone and previously served as an Associate at White & Case.
