Accomplished Litigator Reid Skibell Joins Glenn Agre in New York

Glenn Agre Bergman & Fuentes LLP announced today the addition of Reid Skibell, the first lateral partner to join the firm since its founding in early 2021. Skibell joins the firm’s national complex commercial litigation practice and will be based in the New York office.

“Reid is a dynamic and strategic lawyer with vast experience in cutting-edge litigation. His skill set will deepen our bench and expand our growing client base,” said Andrew K. Glenn, managing partner of Glenn Agre. Glenn added, “As our first lateral partner, this an important milestone for the firm as we continue to expand our team of exceptional trial lawyers.”

An accomplished civil litigator, Skibell represents leading organizations in the technology, financial services, fashion and entertainment, and manufacturing industries in complex litigation and arbitration, including contract disputes, business torts, corporate governance disputes, product liability, and securities claims.

Skibell also counsels companies, executives, and professionals in the employment sector on disputes related to discrimination, harassment, employment and separation agreements, compensation, and breaches of non-compete agreements.

“We are excited to have Reid join our growing complex commercial litigation practice,” noted co-founding partner Lyn R. Agre. “Reid’s broad background in both civil litigation and labor and employment matters complements our national team as we continue to support our clients with their most pressing disputes.”

Among other high-profile matters, Skibell represented John Malkovich, as U.S. counsel, in a defamation action against the French newspaper, Le Monde, and two of its journalists; a recovery vehicle formed by the limited partners of a cryptocurrency trading fund in litigation over the fund’s failure; Honeywell in the first case testing the enforceability of its restrictive covenants for senior executives; and Assurances du Crédit Mutuel, one of France’s largest insurers, in connection with Madoff-related investments.

“As a young but already well-established firm, Glenn Agre provides a unique opportunity for me to grow my practice alongside some of the best trial lawyers in the country,” said Skibell.

Before joining Glenn Agre, Skibell was a partner at a prominent New York litigation boutique. He received his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, his M.A. from the London School of Economics, and his B.A. from Georgetown University. Skibell is admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey.
