Dentons announces today that Amianna Stovall has joined the Firm’s Commercial Litigation practice as a partner in the New York office. Stovall assists clients with complex commercial and financial services litigation. Stovall was previously with Constantine Cannon LLP prior to joining the firm.
Before joining the Firm, Stovall was a commercial litigation partner with her prior firm where she also served as its general counsel and on its management committee. Stovall assists clients in matters involving breach of contract, fraud, federal securities laws, financial services, derivative actions, partnership disputes and professional liability. She has represented clients before the SEC, FINRA and other federal regulatory bodies, as well as in numerous arbitration forums.
“I am thrilled to welcome Amianna to our growing litigation team,” said Sandra Hauser, head of Dentons’ US Commercial Litigation practice. “Amianna’s extensive experience in financial services litigation will be a tremendous asset to our clients, and her skills will strengthen our ability to provide personalized and effective solutions to their legal challenges.”
Among her work on behalf of clients, Stovall represented an investment bank at trial and in multiple appeals relating to the “put-back” of numerous commercial mortgage loans that were part of a US$1.8 billion securitization. She has also successfully represented banking clients in connection with Justice Department investigations relating to mortgage lending practices under state and federal law.
