Highly regarded tax practitioners Maria Eberle and Lindsay LaCava have joined Baker & McKenzie’s North American Tax Practice as partners in New York, bringing extensive experience advising on state and local tax matters in New York State and City, and throughout the US.
Ms. Eberle and Ms. LaCava assist businesses and individuals with both state and local tax planning and litigation matters. They advise clients on a variety of state and local taxes, including corporate income, franchise, sales and use, and property taxes. They also counsel clients on all phases of tax disputes, including audits and administrative appeals in state trial court, state appellate and state supreme court. They have experience advising clients in a wide variety of industries, including a focus on the financial services, insurance, and energy industries.

The addition of Ms. Eberle and Ms. LaCava is the latest in a series of prominent lateral hires for the North American Tax Practice. Early this year, former US Treasury Advisor Alexandra Minkovich and transfer pricing attorney Barbara Mantegani joined in Washington, DC, and economists Brian Cromwell and Shane Koball recently joined in Palo Alto and New York, respectively.
