Baker McKenzie Adds Leading Leveraged Finance and Private Equity Partner in New York

Baker McKenzie announced today that Andrew Sagor has joined the Firm as a partner in New York, as the Firm continues to expand its transactional practice in key financial centers globally. Andrew Sagor joins the Firm from Kirkland & Ellis.

Andrew joins the Firm from Kirkland & Ellis where he was a partner in the firm’s debt finance practice and advised leading private equity firms and their portfolio companies, privately held and publicly traded Fortune 500 companies and other financial institutions in a wide variety of large-cap and middle-market financing transactions, including major leveraged buyouts, domestic and cross-border acquisitions and other leveraged financings, senior-secured debt, high-yield, bridge and mezzanine financings, workouts and restructurings, asset-based facilities, and purchases of distressed debt. He has advised on transactions ranging in size from tens of millions to in excess of $20 billion. He will serve as co-chair to the North American leveraged finance practice with Partner Garry Jaunal who joined the Firm from Kirkland several years ago.

Andrew earned his B.A. from Amherst College and his J.D. from New York University School of Law.
