Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie announced today that banking and finance attorney Miju Damodar has joined the Firm as a Partner in New York. A skilled deal finance lawyer, Miju is the latest partner to join Baker McKenzie’s global transactional team, which has seen the addition of 50 partners over the past two years.
Miju has been advising companies and financial sponsors on global financing transactions for more than a decade. He has a broad range of experience in debt financing deals, including leveraged and acquisition financings and restructurings for private equity sponsors, fund level subscription and portfolio-based financings, asset-based financings, and other secured and unsecured lending transactions. Miju also brings with him a first-hand perspective of client needs from his time in-house at an investment manager.

Miju’s move to Baker McKenzie further expands the global transactional team. Over the past year, the Firm has added M&A and private equity lawyer Toby Knapp who-co-heads Baker McKenzie’s New York Transactional Group, and banking and finance partners Carlo de Vito Piscicelli, who is dual qualified in New York and Milan, Stephan Huis in het Veld (Amsterdam), and Bryan Paisley (Sydney), as well as Judith Kitano and Kim Chi, who are among the 17-lawyer elite transactional group who joined in Los Angeles, Houston and Washington, DC.
