National law firm Wilson Elser, New York’s top-ranked lobbying firm by the Joint Commission on Public Ethics for the last 18 consecutive years, is pleased to announce that Bradley M. Pryba has joined the Albany office as a partner in its Government Affairs practice.
Pryba joins Wilson Elser from the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), where he most recently served as chief legal officer and was the primary legal advisor to the organization’s board of directors and subcommittees for three corporate entities. A registered state and federal lobbyist, he also was responsible for the organization’s government affairs programming and lobbied and drafted legislation on complex accounting issues.
“We are happy to have Bradley join our Government Affairs practice,” said Lisa Marrello, deputy regional managing partner of the Albany office. “Bradley’s experience as a lobbyist and counselor on regulatory compliance issues, as well as and his relationships with key individuals throughout the Capital District, make him an asset to not only our accounting industry clients but to all our clients here in Albany and statewide.”
Prior to joining the NYSSCPA, Pryba worked for national and regional law firms as a litigator, which according to Marrello provides him with the full-spectrum approach to client service with which Wilson Elser is able to use being a [lobbying] firm within a [law] firm.
“There are often several approaches to address an issue to achieve an optimal result for our clients, and because Wilson Elser is not solely a lobbying firm but a full-service law firm, we can explore all of those options under one roof,” added Kenneth Shapiro, regional managing partner and chair of the Government Affairs practice.
Pryba graduated cum laude with a B.A. degree from Middlebury College and earned his J.D. degree from St. John’s University School of Law
