Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney adds shareholder Stephen J. Riccardulli to the firm’s Litigation section in New York, strengthening the section’s litigation capabilities in key areas of product liability and environmental litigation.
Riccardulli brings more than 15 years of experience in complex litigation matters, including class actions and multi-party mass tort and environmental cases. He also focuses his practice on groundwater contamination cases and has represented clients in enforcement actions with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and various state agencies.
“Stephen is a terrific addition to our litigation team as we continue to diversify our offerings. His significant experience in the products liability space will greatly benefit our clients in the energy and life sciences industries,” noted Gretchen L. Jankowski, shareholder and co-chair of Buchanan’s Litigation section.
“We are proud and happy to welcome Stephen to our section, our New York office, and the firm. As we help clients navigate high-stakes class action litigation and ever-changing state and federal regulations, we look to broaden our bench of litigators and Stephen’s experience helps us do that,” added Craig Mills, executive shareholder and co-chair of Buchanan’s Litigation section.
“Buchanan is a great fit as it offers clients a broad range of services, but is also committed to serving the energy sector, particularly on the East Coast,” said Riccardulli. “I am excited to join Buchanan’s team of top-notch litigators and a firm with such a strong focus on client service and collaborative culture where I will have greater flexibility for business development.”
Prior to joining Buchanan, Riccardulli was a partner at a global law firm. Previously he worked in the Office of the Corporation Counsel for the City of Yonkers during which time he represented Yonkers in various litigation matters, including land use and regulatory enforcement actions. Riccardulli received his J.D. from the Pace University School of Law and his B.S. from Fordham University. He is a member of the New York State Bar and American Bar Association, admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York, and was named to the New York Metro Super Lawyers list in 2016.
