Leading international law firm Clifford Chance announced today that insurance transactional and regulatory partner Francis R. Monaco has joined the firm’s US Insurance practice. Monaco arrives from Mayer Brown.
Monaco brings more than 26 years of experience helping insurance and reinsurance companies and other financial institutions across the spectrum of transactional and regulatory matters, including life and non-life mergers and acquisitions, and reinsurance and structured finance transactions.
Monaco’s appointment marks a period of rapid growth for the US insurance team. Dennis Manfredi joined the firm in September as partner and co-head of the practice with Joseph Cosentino. Insurance regulatory counsel Eugene Benger and several experienced insurance associates also joined in 2022 as the firm deepened its offering in the sector, complementing its market-leading global capabilities.
