Thompson Hine LLP is pleased to announce that David S. Forsh has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner in its Business Restructuring, Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy practice. He joins the firm from Pillsbury.
“David is a fantastic addition to Thompson Hine and bolsters our strength in New York,” said Todd Mason, Partner-in-Charge of the New York office. “His energy, enthusiasm and ability to deliver practical and productive advice to clients is a natural fit for our firm and our clients.”
Forsh focuses on business reorganizations and capital structure workouts in distressed situations and also represents debtors, committees, and creditors in related litigation matters. His recent matters include representing a developer of data storage solutions in its chapter 11 asset sale and plan process, an engineering firm in a global out of court restructuring and in resolving ongoing regulatory investigations, and a secured lender in connection with the refinancing and restructuring of multiple hospital systems and development of related properties.
The addition of Forsh strengthens the already-deep expertise of the firm’s Business Restructuring, Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy practice group with additional capability to represent clients in complex restructurings outside of court as well as in domestic and international insolvency proceedings.
“I was extremely impressed by Thompson Hine’s innovative service delivery model and ability to deliver exceptional value to clients,” said Forsh. “The firm’s strengths in the middle market, particularly in the commercial and project finance, renewable energy and business litigation areas, are an excellent fit for my practice and the companies I work with.”
Forsh earned his B.A.Sc. and M.A.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto and his J.D. and MBA from Columbia Law School and Columbia Business School.
