Dentons Grows Venture Tech Practice, Welcoming Three Lawyers in New York

Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, announces the addition of Sean Grygiel as a partner in its Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies practice. His joining follows the addition of Rob Condon as counsel and associate Talia Tanielian. All are resident in the Firm’s NY Meatpacking office. Before joining Dentons, Grygiel was a corporate partner at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky & Popeo, P.C. in New York.

Grygiel advises companies on all aspects of technology and intellectual property (IP) commercialization, including product development, IP procurement and protection, and licensing and monetization. He boasts nearly 20 years of experience representing emerging growth companies in the life sciences, medtech, fintech, foodtech, software, and information technology sectors. He represents clients in a wide variety of complex transactional and IP matters, including acquisitions, sales, joint ventures and financings.

“Our new colleagues in the Venture Technology practice are terrific additions and will immediately bring value to our clients in the tech and biotech and industries at all stages of development,” said US CEO Mike McNamara. “Their strong tech and biotech skillset will help clients solve the complex issues that arise in transactions globally.”

As a co-founder and former chief operating officer of a wireless technology startup focused on mobile content delivery, Grygiel shares his clients’ entrepreneurial and business-focused mindset. He earned his JD from George Washington University Law School and his BS from the United States Coast Guard Academy.

Condon focuses his practice on counseling clients on public and private securities offerings, securities law compliance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, structured finance, private equity and corporate governance. In addition to representing issuers and investment banks, he regularly represents pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies as well as medical device manufacturers. He holds a JD from Fordham School of Law and a BS from Skidmore College.

Tanielian, having strong ties to the Los Angeles marketplace, continues to work with startup and venture backed companies and counsels emerging companies in transactional matters.

“We are enthusiastic about the continued global expansion of the Dentons Venture Technology Group. The new team members in the US along with recent hires globally are an exciting reaffirmation of the progress in the marketplace as a top go-to shop for the needs of emerging growth companies in the life sciences and tech sectors globally,” said Victor Boyajian, chair of Dentons’ global Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies practice. “Our global reach when combined with a laser focused sector approach is compelling from Meatpacking NY and Palo Alto to London, Berlin, Singapore and beyond.”
