FordHarrison LLP, one of the country’s largest management-side labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce that Vincent (Vince) M. Avery and Bran Noonan from Akerman LLP have joined the firm’s New York City office as partners.
“Vince and Bran are well-rounded litigators with impressive resumes and are both heavily dedicated to understanding client needs. We are enthusiastic about them joining our team in New York City,” said Al McKenna, Firm Managing Partner.
Vince Avery’s litigation experience ranges from representing employers in individual and class-based wage and hour claims under FLSA, NYLL, New York Hospitality Wage Order, and NJWHL, to single and multi-plaintiff discrimination and retaliation claims asserted under various employment statutes. He also regularly represents employers in alternative dispute resolution proceedings such as arbitration and mediation, and in administrative proceedings before the DOL, EEOC, NYSDHR, and NJDCR. His traditional labor experience is extensive as well, as he has handled collective bargaining, union elections, union-employer relations for clients, grievance arbitrations, and has represented companies in claims asserted before the NLRB.
“I look forward to being a part of the FordHarrison team and contributing to its continuous success,” said Vince.
Bran Noonan represents and advises companies in a host of industries including education, hospitality, parking services, manufacturing, financial services, media, real estate, healthcare, cannabis, retail, and restaurants. He has extensive experience representing clients in state and federal courts, before administrative agencies, and in arbitrations, defending against single and multi-plaintiff claims, as well as collective actions under the FLSA, ADA, Title VII, FMLA, ADEA, NLRA, WARN, and New York Human Rights and Labor Laws. In addition to representing clients in employment litigation, Bran is skilled in handling traditional labor matters including grievance arbitrations and NLRB claims. He also regularly represents clients in unfair competition, restrictive covenant, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and partnership disputes. Bran also defends companies against public accommodation claims under Title III of the ADA, and state and local human rights laws. A central focus of Bran’s practice is preventing employment and labor law issues before they arise by working with clients to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
“I am thrilled to be bringing my talents to FordHarrison and growing within my practice with such a remarkable team,” said Bran.
