Fox Rothschild LLP welcomes Scott A. Lavin to its New York office as a partner in the Taxation & Wealth Planning Department. Prior to joining Fox, Lavin was a partner at Robinson Brog P.C.
“Scott has extensive experience guiding high-net-worth clients through the development of strategic wealth transfer plans that meet their estate, tax, charitable and family/business succession objectives,” said Janet M. Lavin assists clients with a broad range of estate, trust, tax and charitable planning issues, and helps to solidify their succession and estate administration goals. He offers a variety of services including preparation of wills and trusts; creation of public and private charitable foundations; assistance with probate, asset valuations, disclaimers, income, estate, gift and generation skipping transfer tax planning. He also advises fiduciaries with respect to estate and trust administration, and has been involved in numerous contested matters in the Surrogate’s Courts of New York State, and the probate courts of New Jersey. His experience also extends to corporate transactions and real estate transactions.
He earned his J.D. from Hofstra University, his LL.M. in Taxation from Villanova University, his B.S. from Tulane University and is licensed in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
