Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to welcome Alexander J. Threadgold, who joined the firm in New York as a partner in the Entertainment & Sports Law Department. Prior to joining Fox, he was a partner at Savur Threadgold LLP in New York City.

Threadgold has more than twenty years of experience in the entertainment industry, providing a range of talent, producers and entrepreneurs with guidance and insightful commercial strategy. Entrenched in the music business, he formerly served as in-house director of business and legal affairs for a large independent record company and its distribution, music publishing, apparel, booking and international affiliates as well as founded and operated his own record company.
With a focus on intellectual property matters for creatives, Threadgold helps clients negotiate contracts, form corporations, register trademarks and pursue and resolve legal disputes.
His representations include bands, recording artists, DJs, songwriters, producers, record companies, management companies, digital developers, software companies, distributors, production companies, designers, apparel companies, writers, directors and various creators and entrepreneurs.
Before earning his law degree, Threadgold worked as a DJ and in label management, artist relations, event production, webcasting, retail, and digital content creation. Among his notable creative projects, he executive produced and commercially developed albums with MF Doom and Diplo.
He earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and his B.A. from Brown University.
