Freshfields announced today that Gayle Klein has joined the firm’s litigation practice as partner in New York. A nationally recognized commercial litigator, Gayle has led clients to high profile victories in a spectrum of disputes involving complex financial transactions, fraud claims, trade secrets, non-compete undertakings and major contracts. She also is particularly adept at defending against class actions. Her clients include private equity firms, financial institutions and public and private companies. Klein arrives at the firm from Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP.

US Managing Partner Sarah Solum noted, “Gayle’s excellent reputation in the market as one of the top-ranked commercial litigators in New York makes her a fantastic addition to our growing US litigation practice. She has a proven track-record of winning complex cases for sophisticated clients and will expand the firm’s ability to serve our clients across the US and around the globe.”
