Gibson Dunn Adds Litigation Partner Lauren Goldman in New York

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Lauren R. Goldman has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner. Goldman, formerly a partner and co-head of the Supreme Court & Appellate practice group at Mayer Brown LLP, will continue her high-stakes class-and mass-action litigation practice.

About Lauren R. Goldman

Goldman’s practice focuses on high-stakes class- and mass-action litigation, with a particular emphasis on data privacy and technology issues. She also regularly counsels clients on compliance with federal and state privacy statutes with an emphasis on the use of biometric technologies, including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act, Wiretap Act, the Stored Communications Act, the California

Invasion of Privacy Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and various common-law privacy doctrines.

Before joining Gibson Dunn, Goldman was a partner at Mayer Brown LLP, where she also served as co-head of the firm’s Supreme Court & Appellate practice group. She began her legal career at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP.

Goldman received her J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1997, where she graduated magna cum laude and was a member of the New York University Law Review and of the Order of the Coif. From 1997 to 1998, she served as a law clerk to Judge Dennis Jacobs of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
