Goldberg Segalla added partner Letal Algazy to the firm’s Workers’ Compensation practice group in Garden City. Ms. Algazy previously practiced at Cherry, Edson & Kelly LLP before joining Goldberg Segalla.
Letal has over 14 years of experience representing self-insured employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in litigation before the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board and other venues—including through trials and appeals—and advising her clients on complex issues related to workers’ compensation law and claims-handling. She also regularly conducts settlement evaluations, negotiates settlements with opposing counsel, and prepares settlement agreements. Leta also has experience litigating matters involving general liability, personal injury, toxic torts, product liability, and construction site accidents, and understands the ways that choices in workers’ compensation matters can impact or be impacted by other overlapping claims.
Letal earned her bachelor’s at the State University of New York at Albany and her J.D. at New York Law School.
