Goodwin, the global law firm serving innovators and investors, today announced that Alexander Nicas joined the firm’s Financial Restructuring group as a partner, resident in the New York office. Nicas comes to the firm from Kirkland & Ellis LLP in New York.

Nicas focuses his practice on the representation of distressed companies, equity sponsors, bondholders, secured and unsecured creditors, and other stakeholders in all aspects of corporate restructuring matters, including in-court chapter 11 cases, out-of-court restructurings, and other distressed transactions.
Goodwin’s global Financial Restructuring group has been actively involved in a number of headline cases, out of court and in court, as it continues to expand its representation across jurisdictions of sponsors, boards, investors, creditors, contract counterparties, and litigants whose commercial transactions are at the intersection of innovation and capital.
