Highly Respected Litigator Julian Moore Joins Allen & Overy, Bolstering U.S. Litigation Practice

ulian Moore, a veteran prosecutor, will be joining Allen & Overy as a partner in the New York office. Moore will join the litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution practice and work closely with a wide range of A&O teams to support the firm’s regional and global growth. Moore is joining from K2 Intelligence, an investigative and advisory service firm, where he served as a Senior Managing Director. His prior experience involves large-scale, high-profile investigations including both international and U.S. domestic legal disputes.

Moore has also held various senior public service positions throughout his career, including Deputy Attorney General for New York State, Deputy Chief of Investigations for the Moreland Commission to Investigate Public Corruption, and Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) where he most recently was a member of the Securities and Commodities Fraud Unit. At the SDNY, he was a lead prosecutor in the investigation of the Bernard L. Madoff Ponzi Scheme, the largest financial crime in history, as well as a special appointee to the Mortgage Fraud Strike Force formed following the 2008 financial crisis.

Moore has been awarded a number of distinctions throughout his career, including being named in Crain’s New York Business “40 Under 40” list in 2016. Currently, Moore is Vice Co-Chair of the Executive Committee and Co-Chair of the Board Governance Committee for The Trevor Project, a leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning (LGBTQ) people under 25, as well as being a lifelong member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Moore received his A.B. degree cum laude from Harvard College in 1998 and his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2001.
