Global law firm Hogan Lovells is growing its Mergers & Acquisitions practice in New York with the addition of partners Peter Cohen-Millstein and Megan Ridley-Kaye. The duo arrives to the firm from Linklaters in New York.
Peter will serve as the New York member of the firm’s Global M&A Leadership Team, and Megan will join the firm’s Energy and Natural Resources Group, where she will promote the continuing development and expansion of the firm’s U.S. Energy M&A practice.

Peter’s practice is focused on cross-border M&A. Among others, he has represented clients in industries including transportation, life sciences and health care, technology, diversified industrials, financial services, energy, and mining and natural resources. Peter, who has been recognized for M&A in The Legal 500, regularly speaks on differences between U.S. and European M&A law and market practice.
Megan is a corporate lawyer who has advised clients in the diversified industrials, asset management, health care and infrastructure industries. She has a particular focus on ESG and on M&A in the energy, infrastructure, commodities, and natural resources industries, enabling clients to use M&A as an important tool for energy transition. Previously, Megan served as legal counsel and then assistant general counsel at Noble Americas Corp., before returning to private practice.

A former Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow, Peter was a Dean’s Scholar at New York University, where he earned his law degree, cum laude, and he holds an A.B., magna cum laude, from Brown University.
Megan earned her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a certificate of business and public policy from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She received her bachelor’s degree with High Honors from Wesleyan University.
