Healthcare attorney William L. Weiner has joined Holland & Knight as a partner in the firm’s New York office. Mr. Weiner represents physicians, group practices, medical device manufacturers and other healthcare providers and privately held companies on matters of healthcare law, both transactional and regulatory. Previously, he was a partner at Akerman LLP.
Mr. Weiner focuses his practice on commercial transactions and counsels physicians, their practices and other providers on billing and reimbursement, corporate governance, medical staff and regulatory issues, licensing and credentialing, government audits, false claims, the corporate practice of medicine, fee splitting, and the sale, merger, acquisition and unwinding of practices. His clients also include family offices, owners and operators of traumatic brain injury centers, nursing homes and large physician-hospital organizations.
Mr. Weiner is a frequent lecturer to medical staff and hospital administrators and other attorneys on regulatory and other issues, including those related to practice acquisition and divestiture and proposed joint ventures.

Mr. Weiner received a J.D. degree from Pennsylvania State University and a B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He is licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
