Katten announced today that Eddy Park has joined the firm as partner in its Real Estate practice in New York, where he will focus on complex transactions and strategic matters related to mixed-income and affordable residential developments. Park comes to the firm from Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York.
“Eddy is a highly skilled attorney who has a passion for working in the affordable housing space,” said Kenneth G. Lore, chair of Katten’s East Coast Real Estate practice. “His extensive background in real estate, law and quasi-government agencies will help guide our clients through all stages of affordable housing deals.”
Park previously served as in-house counsel for a US government-sponsored enterprise (GSE), where he advised transaction teams on multifamily financing matters for both conventional and affordable housing projects. Prior to that, he garnered international law firm experience in the commercial real estate industry.
In private practice, Park represented a range of real estate stakeholders including developers, pension and private equity funds, real estate investment trusts, sovereign wealth funds, and asset and investment managers. He also has extensive experience with multiple types of commercial real estate transactions, including financings, acquisitions and dispositions, and joint ventures.
Recognized as the 2022 “Law Firm of the Year” in Real Estate Law by U.S. News, Katten has one of the largest and most sophisticated real estate practices in the United States.
