Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Devjani H. Mishra as a shareholder in the New York office. Mishra was previously Executive Director and Global Employment Law Counsel for Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Prior to joining Alexion, Mishra was a partner at Seyfarth Shaw LLP.
“Devjani has spent the better part of a decade serving as in-house counsel for a global biopharmaceutical company,” said Bruce Millman, New York Office Managing Shareholder. “Her experience as a trusted legal advisor for management, combined with her deep knowledge of global labor and employment law, further amplifies our ability to provide robust counsel to multi-national companies on regulatory and compliance matters.”
At Alexion, which has over 2,200 employees serving patients in 50 countries, Mishra advised on all aspects of employment law, including hiring and recruiting, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and immigration and mobility strategies. She has extensive experience partnering with management on transactional due diligence, workforce integration and business restructuring; preventing and responding to discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims; conducting internal investigations and compliance assessments; defending against employment litigation matters; and resolving claims using alternative dispute resolution.
“Littler’s reputation for client service and innovation is second to none, and the firm is the gold standard in labor and employment law,” Mishra said. “With an extensive international footprint and a growing team of top-notch global employment lawyers, Littler also provides the perfect platform for my practice.”
Mishra received her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and her B.A. from Yale University. She has been a frequent speaker at the American Bar Association’s Labor & Employment Law Section conferences, and is a past director of the South Asian Bar Association of New York.
