Mayer Brown announced today that Michelle Jewett has joined the firm’s Tax Transactions & Consulting practice as a partner in New York. Ms. Jewett was previously at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP.

Ms. Jewett is a transactional tax lawyer whose practice focuses on private investment funds of all types, including real estate funds, energy and infrastructure funds, credit funds and hedge funds. She advises both fund sponsors and institutional investors. Ms. Jewett also advises on mergers and acquisitions, real estate joint ventures and real estate investment trusts, financial restructuring transactions, financial instruments, and intellectual property, both domestically and internationally.
