King & Spalding announced that a four-partner pharma and healthcare mass tort team of Morton Dubin, John Ewald, Kristen Fournier and Kathy O’Connor is joining the firm’s Trial and Global Disputes practice group in New York. They were previously partners at Orrick.
Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP today announced that Laura E. Appleby has joined the New York office as a partner in the Corporate Restructuring group. Appleby comes to the firm from Chapman and Cutler LLP.
M. Adel Aslani-Far, widely recognized as one of the United States’ leading public company mergers and acquisitions attorneys, has joined the New York office of Greenberg Traurig, LLP as a shareholder in the firm’s Global Corporate Practice. Aslani-Far joins from Latham & Watkins LLP, where he was a partner and former global co-chair of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Practice.
Dechert LLP announced today that Howard Klein has joined the firm’s employee benefits and executive compensation group as a partner based in New York. Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Klein was a partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP.
Foley & Lardner announced today that Lewis Zirogiannis has joined the firm as a partner in its Litigation Department and Government Enforcement Defense & Investigations Practice Group. Zirogiannis is resident in the firm’s San Francisco and New York City offices.
Zirogiannis comes to Foley from Reed Smith, where he was a member of the complex litigation and global regulatory enforcement practice groups. He began his legal career as a staff attorney in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and as a federal judicial law clerk in the Southern District of New York before entering private practice.
Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has increased its Brazil and cross border transaction capabilities with the addition of Giovanni Biscardi as a shareholder in the firm’s New York office and as a foreign legal consultant in the firm’s Miami office. Biscardi joins Greenberg Traurig from Carlton Fields, where he was a former member of the firm’s Board of Directors.
New York – Global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Yasho Lahiri as an asset management and investment funds partner in the New York office. He arrives at K&L Gates from DLA Piper, and is the second new partner to join the firm’s New York office this week, following yesterday’s announcement of corporate partner Steven M. Olenick.
