Dechert LLP is pleased to announce that Russel G. Perkins has joined the firm as a partner in the financial services practice group in New York City. He advises fund sponsors, asset managers and institutional investors on a wide variety of domestic and international issues relating to real estate funds, private equity funds, hedge funds, funds of funds, secondaries funds and other alternative asset classes.
“Russel brings significant fund formation experience, across all asset classes, to our internationally recognized practice,” said Robert W. Helm, a leader of Dechert’s global Financial Services Practice. “We are excited to have him join our team.”
Prior to joining Dechert, Perkins served as special counsel in the investment management practice of another international law firm. He will be based in the firm’s New York City office.

Perkins is a graduate of Harvard University (1997) and University of Virginia School of Law (2000). He is a member of the New York Bar.
