Seyfarth announced today the arrival of partner Paul Ferrillo to its Litigation department, global Privacy & Cybersecurity team, and Securities & Fiduciary Duty Litigation group in New York. Ferrillo was most recently a partner at McDermott Will & Emery LLP in New York.
Ferrillo focuses his practice on cybersecurity incident response and litigation, privacy compliance and litigation, corporate governance, and securities litigation. His extensive background in cybersecurity corporate governance matters includes advising clients with various regulatory issues involving their cybersecurity policies.
“We’re fortunate to add a lawyer of Paul’s caliber who has served as lead counsel on many consumer and securities class actions resulting from data breaches and cyberattacks,” said James McGrath, chair of Seyfarth’s Litigation department. “Cybersecurity continues to be a critical component for companies worldwide, especially in today’s remote work environment. Our department is well-recognized for its global privacy and security capabilities, and Paul bolsters these strengths in many ways.”
“Paul’s practice solidifies an important New York presence for our global privacy and cybersecurity team and securities litigation group. We’re excited he is part of the Seyfarth family,” said Lorie Almon, co-managing partner of the firm’s New York office.
“We’re delighted to welcome Paul to the firm. He joins our team with a multidimensional litigation practice and strong relationships with some of the world’s leading insurance providers,” said John Napoli, co-managing partner of the firm’s New York office.
Earlier in his career, Ferrillo served as vice president and associate general counsel at leading global insurance organization AIG. In addition to his numerous financial and insurance clients, he regularly counsels businesses from the real estate, aerospace, energy, and retail industries.
Ferrillo earned his J.D. and B.A. from St. John’s University and he currently serves as an adjunct professor at Florida State University College of Law. He is the latest arrival to join Seyfarth’s growing New York office this year. In February, the office welcomed international litigator Talat Ansari.
