Thompson Hine LLP is pleased to announce that Constance M. Boland, a seasoned litigator focusing on the financial services and insurance industries, has joined its New York office as a partner in the Business Litigation practice. She previously was a partner at Nixon Peabody LLP.
Boland has nearly 30 years of complex commercial litigation and arbitration experience advising a broad range of clients including financial services firms, insurance companies, trustees, officers and directors, broker-dealers, technology companies and independent power producers. She has represented clients in connection with financing disputes, securities and common law fraud claims, and disputes involving mortgage-backed securities, derivatives, swaps and forward contracts, as well as claims arising from the development, financing and operation of power generation facilities and commercial real estate disputes.
“Connie’s financial services experience increases the depth of our practice in New York and further enhances the firm’s national litigation bench,” said Todd E. Mason, partner-in-charge of the firm’s New York office.
“I am very excited to join a firm with a growing New York office that is supported by a robust national litigation practice,” said Boland. “I am confident that my broad experience with the financial services and insurance industries will significantly complement Thompson Hine’s litigation services.” Boland noted that her clients now will have access to Thompson Hine’s strong litigation resources in the areas of labor and employment, as well as general commercial litigation, and that her clients will benefit from the firm’s innovative approach to service. “I am impressed with Thompson Hine’s focus on efficiency, transparency and value and I expect my clients will be equally impressed.”
