Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP today announced the addition of Larissa Marcellino as a partner based in the New York office and member of the Private Equity Practice Group. She is part of the Asset Management Department and Corporate & Financial Services Department. She previously served as General Counsel of Aquiline Capital Partners, a New York and London-based private investment firm and longtime Willkie client.
During her tenure, Larissa advised Aquiline on fund formation, fund counseling, regulatory, co-investment and M&A matters across Aquiline’s private equity, venture and credit strategies. Prior to joining Aquiline in 2018, Larissa focused on private equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions at a large international law firm.
“Larissa is an outstanding lawyer whose experience both in-house and in private practice will enhance our private equity platform, and in particular enhance our strength in advising middle market sponsors who may not have a legal department in-house,” said Jeffrey Poss, Co-Chair of the Private Equity Practice Group. “Her years of serving as general counsel at a prominent private equity firm provide her with a unique and well-rounded perspective that will be of value to many of our 300+ sponsor clients, and we are thrilled to welcome her to Willkie.”
Larissa commented: “I’m delighted to join Willkie’s premier private equity and asset management practice, and look forward to applying my experience to a wide range of sophisticated transactions, fund matters and partner arrangements. I have experienced firsthand Willkie’s ability to provide a full service, 360° platform and am proud to join the firm in delivering comprehensive solutions for general partners and the funds they manage.”
