Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Jessica T. Travers as a shareholder in its Orlando office. Travers, who rejoins from Akerman LLP, practiced at Littler from 2010 to 2017. Her arrival comes after Lisa Kathumbi’s return to the firm’s Columbus office earlier this month, marking the second shareholder to rejoin the firm in April.
“It says something about Littler when quality lawyers return – and Jessica brings an impressive track record counseling and defending employers on a wide range of cutting-edge workplace issues,” said Erin Webber, Littler’s Managing Director and President. “We are excited that she is coming back to Littler and for the value that her depth of knowledge and litigation experience will bring to our clients.”
“Jessica has a well-earned reputation for working tirelessly for the best possible outcomes for her clients, whether it’s a win in court or providing smart and proactive counsel to avoid litigation in the first place,” said Office Managing Shareholder Kimberly J. Doud of Littler’s Orlando office. “She will be a valuable resource for our clients in Orlando, Florida, and nationally.”
Travers has extensive experience advising large, multistate, employers in an array of industries, including energy, hospitality, retail, e-commerce, technology, and transportation and logistics. She represents clients in federal and state courts and agencies, appellate courts, and arbitral forums. Jessica provides counsel on a wide range of employment matters, including employment policies and procedures, internal investigations, accommodation requirements, leaves of absence, wage and hour compliance, employment-related agreements, terminations, discipline, disability access laws, and manager and employee training.
“With the rapid evolution of workplace law and policy, companies are in greater need than ever of sophisticated and forward-looking legal services,” Travers added. “Littler’s global platform, innovative solutions and significant talent in the labor and employment arena will ensure that I can continue to provide my clients top-notch counsel at this critical time.”
Travers regularly speaks and publishes on workplace legal issues and is regularly recognized as a leading labor and employment lawyer by Chambers USA and The Best Lawyers in America. She earned her J.D. from the Tulane University Law School and her B.S. from the University of Florida.
