Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, the premier provider of legal services to technology, life sciences, and growth enterprises worldwide, announced today that Wendy Huang Waszmer has joined the firm’s antitrust practice as a partner in the New York office. Waszmer was previously a litigation partner in the New York office of King & Spalding.

Waszmer’s practice focuses on the representation of clients across a wide range of industries in cartel and other antitrust matters, government investigations, and complex civil litigation. Her clients include companies and individuals facing investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), state attorneys general, and other federal and state agencies. She also represents clients in federal court litigation and other civil commercial disputes. Her recent representations include the successful defense of a U.S.-Japan joint venture in a global cartel investigation and individual clients in federal antitrust and other government investigations.
Prior to joining King & Spalding as a partner in 2013, Waszmer served in several leadership and trial counsel roles for the DOJ in New York and Washington, D.C., from 2005 to 2013. As the assistant chief of the New York field office of the DOJ Antitrust Division, she supervised federal trials and both criminal and civil investigations, and litigated other high-profile matters. She also was a liaison with federal and state enforcement and regulatory agencies in joint and parallel antitrust and fraud investigations. Waszmer previously served as counsel to the Assistant Attorney General of the Antitrust Division, advising on enforcement policy matters, and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.
Waszmer earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center. She received a B.A., summa cum laude, from the College of William and Mary. She is admitted to practice in New York and the District of Columbia.
