International law firm Ashurst announces the appointment of Pierre Roux as partner in its banking practice in Paris. Pierre joins from Linklaters where he has worked since 2013.
Pierre specialises in leveraged finance, corporate finance, real estate finance and debt restructurings. Prior to joining Linklaters, Pierre spent ten years with Ashurst, nine in the Paris banking team and one year in London.
This follows on from the promotion of Nataline Fleury, counsel in Ashurst’s employment practice in Paris, to the partnership. Nataline joined Ashurst in 2008 and specialises in employment law and social security issues, advising French and international clients on employment law aspects of M&A transactions and day-to-day advice on employment law matters.
Philippe None, managing partner of Ashurst in Paris, commented:
“Pierre’s appointment is part of our strategy to develop a broader and more diversified finance capability that will also now focus on growth French lending markets, including direct lending and funds financing. This is a perfect complement to where we have strong capability in London and other European offices. Pierre’s reputation and skills will be of great benefit to driving forward the practice and we are confident he will make a significant contribution to the team.”
Pierre Roux, added:
“I am very much looking forward to joining the Ashurst team and helping to further develop the finance platform, together with many former colleagues.”
