Bird & Bird today welcomes Emmanuelle Porte as a partner in our Corporate and Life Sciences groups, based in Paris. This supports the firm’s strategy to grow the corporate life sciences & healthcare capabilities over the next year.
Emmanuelle joins from boutique firm Redlink, where she was a partner. She specialises in venture capital, M&A and corporate finance transactions within the Life Sciences & Healthcare sector. She focuses in particular on clients in the biotech, medtech and healthcare industries, although she also works for clients in the Tech & Comms sectors.
Her practice frequently involves her advising small to mid-size corporate clients on fundraising processes, both within the French market and overseas. Her expertise includes advising start-ups and those selling new technologies on M&A, venture capital, private placements and IPOs as well as general corporate matters.
Emmanuelle was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1996, following which she joined Archibald Andersen (subsequently EY Law) as a corporate lawyer. She joined Taylor Wessing as a Senior Associate in 2005, and was there promoted to partner in 2008. She joined Nixon Peabody International in 2008 as a partner.
Also joining with Emmanuelle is Counsel, Sylvie Hamel, who has worked with Emmanuelle for nearly 15 years and specialises in complex Company Law matters.
