Eversheds Sutherland Bolsters Banking and Finance team in Paris with Double Hire

Eversheds Sutherland welcomes Sindhura Swaminathan as Partner who will head its Paris-based banking and finance practice and Louis-Jérôme Laisney as Counsel. They both arrive at Eversheds from White & Case LLP.

Eversheds Sutherland is pleased to welcome Partner Sindhura Swaminathan, who will head its Paris-based banking and finance practice, and Counsel Louis-Jérôme Laisney.
Sindhura Swaminathan, a dually qualified solicitor in England and Wales and at the Paris Bar, has more than 10 years’ international experience. She has built a strong reputation for leading major transactions in project finance, asset finance and export finance transactions, notably in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Sindhura is praised by her clients and peers for her ability to bring innovative solutions to complex transactions. She has a reputation for being commercial and getting transactions across the line. Her dual qualification in both English and French law is greatly valued by her clients.
Louis-Jérôme Laisney is a member of the Paris Bar and has over a decade’s financing experience including project finance, acquisition finance, corporate finance and debt restructuring. In addition to French law, he is also recognised in OHADA law, having been a member of the experts committee appointed by the World Bank (FIAS) on the reform of the OHADA Uniform Act, enforced from May 2011. Clients highlight his fair and pragmatic approach and ability to achieve consensus between parties.
Sindhura and Louis-Jérôme aim to build an innovative and cross border practice at Eversheds Sutherland, and develop further the firm’s close collaboration with both French and international clients.
