Global law firm White & Case LLP has expanded its Global Commercial Litigation Practice with the addition of Diane Lamarche as a new partner in Paris. She joins from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe where she was a partner.
“Paris is an important center for dispute resolution and the addition of Diane will further strengthen our capabilities in France and internationally,” said White & Case partner Glenn Kurtz, head of the Firm’s Global Commercial Litigation Practice. “In particular, Diane’s expertise in corporate and public M&A litigation will expand our offering to clients and complement the work of our M&A practice and global private equity industry group.”
Philippe Metais, White & Case partner and head of the Paris litigation team, said: “With the addition of Diane in Paris we will continue to grow our footprint and raise our profile in the French market to meet growing demand from clients. Diane is an excellent fit for the Paris office, supporting existing capabilities and bringing new expertise.”
Lamarche advises clients on complex litigation, international arbitration and investigations, as well as assisting listed and non-listed companies with corporate governance matters.
“Diane’s skill-set is a great fit for our practice and provides much-needed additional resource for the growing Paris office,” said White & Case partner Charles Balmain, Regional Section Head, EMEA Disputes. “Strengthening our corporate and public M&A litigation practice, in addition to providing financial litigation expertise, makes Diane an important strategic addition at a time when the countercyclical nature of litigation means that our disputes practice is in high demand.”
Partner Oliver Brettle, a member of White & Case’s global Executive Committee, said: “Diane’s arrival follows recent expansion in Paris with the addition of private equity partners Saam Golshani, Alexis Hojabr and Guillaume Vitrich. Her addition to the office is in line with our strategic ambition to expand our disputes capabilities globally.”
