Hogan Lovells Boosts Global Regulatory Practice With strategic Paris Hire

Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that Charlotte Damiano will be joining the firm’s Paris office as a partner in its Global Regulatory practice. She will join from Simmons & Simmons with a Senior Associate on 20 May.

Charlotte’s practice focuses primarily on tax regulations unique to the life sciences industry. She represents major pharmaceutical companies in litigation relating to tax and social security matters. She also advises companies on pricing, reimbursement for medications and medical devices, and more generally on market access issues, including in disputes with the French health authorities.

Alice Valder Curran, Head of the Global Regulatory practice at Hogan Lovells, said: “We have been looking to further expand our life sciences offering in Paris for some time, and Charlotte brings a combination of hard-to-find regulatory experience, sterling reputation, and outstanding track record. Charlotte has an impressive client base and we are delighted that she has chosen to grow her career at Hogan Lovells.”

Xenia Legendre, Managing Partner of Hogan Lovells in Paris, commented: “The life sciences sector is a key growth area for the Paris office. Our multi-disciplinary team comprises nearly 30 lawyers, and we look forward to working with Charlotte. Her hire reinforces our industry sector approach, one of the key differentiators of our firm in the Paris market.”

Charlotte Damiano added: “I am thrilled to be joining the world-renowned Global Regulatory practice at Hogan Lovells and working closely with new colleagues in Paris and internationally to provide the best service to my clients.”

Charlotte started her legal career at DLA Piper in 2009, before moving to Dentons in 2011 and then to Simmons & Simmons, where she has worked for the last six years. Charlotte was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2009 and holds a DEA in Economics and Business Law.
