Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to announce it is growing its labor law presence in Europe with the addition of Stéphane Bloch as partner in the firm’s Paris office. Stéphane joins Ogletree Deakins from Flichy-Grangé Avocats, where he was a partner.
Stéphane has extensive experience in the practice of labor and employment law, specifically in the public and administrative sector. He is skilled in the field of coexistence, within the same entity, of private and public law populations in terms of individual and collective labor relations and restructuring operations. Stéphane regularly leads training sessions, particularly on the subject of employee representative bodies, the rules of collective bargaining, and trade union law.

Stéphane is a member of The Employment Lawyers Association (ELA), the International Union of Labor Law Commission (UIA), the French Labor Law Association (AFDT), and the Office of the Association of Company Lawyers in Labor Law (AvoSial). He also acts as a lecturer for AvoSial on subjects such as staff transfers between public or private sectors or the administrative control of social plans, and teaches at the University of Paris Est-Créteil on the topic of individual labor relations.
Stéphane regularly publishes articles on recent events or major structural themes both in academic journals, such as La Semaine Juridique Social, and in publications intended for practitioners, including Challenges, ActuEL RH, Lettre des Juristes d’Affaires, Rebondir. Since the beginning of the pandemic, he has presented and published articles dedicated to the subject. Stéphane holds Masters degrees in private law and international law from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and a postgraduate degree from the Centre Universitaire d’Etudes Politiques of Nancy.
Outside of his legal practice, Stéphane enjoys spending time with his five children. He also runs trails in the mountains and is a collector of vintage motorcycles.
