Orrick announced today that Jessie Gaston has joined the firm as a partner in our Tax practice in Paris. She joins Orrick from Dentons.
“Jessie is a talented tax advisor. Her practice and experience are an excellent match for our teams in Paris and across Europe as we continue to build on our global platform and sector strengths in Tech, Energy & Infrastructure and Finance,” said Patrick Tardivy, co-head of Orrick’s Paris office.
“Jessie’s extensive expertise in corporate tax matters, transactional tax and tax structuring of acquisitions, both in a domestic and cross-border context, will be a key asset for the quality of services we deliver to our clients,” added Laurent Olleon, head of Orrick’s Paris Tax Practice.
Jessie advises French and international companies on the complex tax issues that arise in cross-border transactions, particularly mergers, acquisitions, private equity and real estate matters, as well as restructurings. She also counsels companies and their executives in tax audits, management incentives, tax controversy issues and tax disputes. Jessie is recognized by Legal 500 EMEA, Chambers, Leaders’ League and Who’s Who Legal for her corporate tax work.
Jessie’s arrival follows the additions of Julia Apostle, a data privacy and complex technology advisor, from Bredin Prat, and M&A and private equity advisor Olivier Jouffroy from Clifford Chance to our Paris office.
