Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has strengthened its international employment capabilities with the appointment of Soazig Préteseille as partner in its Paris office. Préteseille, who has spent the majority of her career at international law firms, joins the firm from Reinhart Marville Torre.
Préteseille is a French qualified employment lawyer, with more than 15 years of experience advising French and international companies on all transactional and litigation aspects of employment law. She was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2002, and is fluent in English, German and Romanian.
“We’ve seen an increased demand for advice pertaining to employment law and litigation, and expect to see this trend continue, particularly as the implications of Brexit unfold,” said Nicolas Demigneux, Paris office managing partner, Stephenson Harwood. “The addition of a lawyer of Soazig’s calibre, who has the international experience advising on all aspects of EU employment law, enhances the support we can provide our clients, and complements our existing corporate and litigation offering in the Paris office.”
Stephenson Harwood’s employment practice is part of the firm’s multidisciplinary employment, pensions, incentives and immigration group. The full service, international team is able to advise on both litigation and advisory matters.
Préteseille is the second partner to join Stephenson Harwood’s Paris office in less than a month. Competition partner Jean-Julien Lemonnier joined the firm last month.
“Soazig’s arrival, closely following that of competition partner Jean-Julien Lemonnier, marks an exciting chapter for the Paris office, as we continue our recent growth trajectory, and further demonstrates our long-term plans to expand the office’s existing capabilities,” said Demigneux.
