Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani LLP announced that Earl M. Forte has joined the firm’s Philadelphia office as a partner. Forte brings more than 25 years of experience handling commercial litigation and disputes, financial restructuring and insolvency matters for clients and will be instrumental in expanding Commercial Litigation practice in Gordon Rees’s Philadelphia office.
“Earl is a tremendous addition to our office and to our Commercial Litigation practice,” said Bill Shelley, the managing partner of Gordon Rees’s Philadelphia office. “Earl has vast experience handling business problems and disputes in a variety of forums, notably bankruptcy law cases, and will be an asset in servicing our clients’ legal needs. He will also be instrumental in the firm’s continued expansion of its Commercial Litigation practice both in Philadelphia and nationwide.”
Earl M. Forte has particular knowledge and experience with business and financial disputes in a variety of courts and arbitration forums, notably in the nation’s federal district and bankruptcy courts in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 cases, as well as under various corporate statutes. He also handles director and officer liability matters and state receiverships. Forte has many years of experience counseling and advising clients on the unique problems and issues presented by bankruptcy and other insolvency proceedings, including trials and appeals in bankruptcy matters. He has counseled and advised his clients through many difficult business and financial problems and restructurings either by reaching consensual resolutions promptly through negotiation or through aggressive pursuit or defense of litigation or arbitration whenever necessary. Forte’s matters arise in and out of court and take place in federal, state, and private forums. Forte studies each client’s industry and business very closely and has years of experience working with corporate and other transactional lawyers to fully analyze and understand each client’s unique problems and goals. Forte provides legal services to clients in a wide variety of industries and transactions. He has also developed particular knowledge of fraudulent transfer law under both state and federal statutes, having written a handbook on the subject.
