Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to announce that a group of attorneys from Montgomery McCracken’s labor and employment practice will join the firm’s Philadelphia office. The group of four attorneys includes Daniel O’Meara and Janice Dubler, who will join as shareholder, and two associates. Their arrival at the firm will significantly expand the firm’s labor and employment capabilities in Pennsylvania, South Jersey, and across the Northeast.

O’Meara and Dubler’s employment law client base is focused in the pharmaceuticals, aerospace, executive search, manufacturing, building products, and non-profit sectors. O’Meara has practiced law for nearly 30 years and previously served as chair of Montgomery McCracken’s Employment Counseling and Litigation practice group. He has extensive experience in employment litigation, labor relations, and preventative human resource practices, including substantial experience in matters involving trade secrets and non-compete agreements. O’Meara is a veteran writer and speaker and has presented on labor and employment topics for organizations including the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Labor and Employment Relations Association. O’Meara has also published two books, Protecting the Growing Number of Older Workers: the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and O’Meara, Employment Arbitration. He is the co-host of “In the Workplace” on SiriusXM Radio’s Business Radio Powered by Wharton. Active in the Pennsylvania legal community, O’Meara is the managing director of the Wharton School Council on Employee Relations, senior fellow of the Wharton School for Human Resources, and the immediate past president of the Philadelphia chapter of the Labor and Employment Relations Association. O’Meara earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and an MBA in Human Resource Management from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business.
Dubler formerly served as vice chair of Montgomery McCracken’s Employment Counseling and Litigation practice group. She has more than 22 years of legal experience and concentrates her practice on employment litigation and counseling. Dubler regularly represents employers on a broad range of employment matters, including discrimination and harassment claims based on gender, sexual orientation, race, age, national origin and disability, as well as retaliation and whistleblower allegations, breach of contract, trade secret, and restrictive covenant matters. She also counsels clients on issues relating to personnel policies and procedures, terminations, layoffs, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) compliance. Dubler serves as chair of the Burlington County, N.J. Bar Association’s Employment Sub-Committee and co-chair of the Camden County, N.J. Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Committee. She frequently speaks on labor and employment topics for groups including the American Law Institute, Pennsylvania Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, and Burlington County Bar Association. Dubler earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden.
