Greg Collins has joined Dorsey & Whitney LLP as a Partner in the Commercial Litigation group, the international law firm announced today. Greg will head the trial practice group in Dorsey’s growing Phoenix office. Greg joins Dorsey from Kercsmar, Collins & O’Hara PLLC, a litigation boutique, where he led the firm’s intellectual property practice.
An experienced trial lawyer with multiple significant jury trial victories for his clients, Greg handles a variety of complex disputes, including intellectual property litigation, trade secret and breach of contract cases, and corporate governance litigation. Greg has secured multi-million dollar verdicts and arbitration awards in bet-the-company litigation, and he has prosecuted and defended cases seeking damage awards in excess of one hundred million dollars. Greg has been recognized by U.S. News & World Reports’ “Best Lawyers” multiple times, including three times as “Lawyer of the Year” in patent litigation for Scottsdale, Arizona (an honor bestowed on only one attorney each year). Greg also ranks as a “Southwest Super Lawyer” in intellectual property litigation, and he holds an “AV Preeminent Rating” (the highest possible rating) from Martindale-Hubble.
He received his J.D. and B.A. from the University of Arizona.
In addition to Greg Collins, Dorsey’s Phoenix office recently added Real Estate attorneys Michael Fletcher, Ryan Rosensteel, and Ken Downey.
“Dorsey entered the Phoenix market in 2022 with a plan to grow the number of practice areas offered, and adding Greg Collins is another important step forward as we continue to deliver on that growth plan,” said Scott Jenkins, Dorsey’s Phoenix office head.
