Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani welcomes Jill J. Ormond as a partner in the Phoenix office. She is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation, Product & General Liability, Retail & Hospitality, Intellectual Property, and Entertainment & Recreation law practice groups. Ormond joins from the Phoenix office of Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie LLP.

Ormond helps clients ranging from international retailers to specialty entertainment companies find practical and cost-effective legal solutions. With a background in the entertainment industry, Ormond’s legal practice often focuses on the areas of product and premises liability, business and civil litigation, intellectual property and entertainment law. In the area of product liability, she has experiences with a wide ranges of cases including consumer products, power tools, and wrongful death matters involving tires and automobile components.
Ormond also counsels clients on protecting their intellectual properties. She advises clients through the entire life cycle of film, television, music, digital media, and other creative assets. Her experience representing entertainment clients, combined with her understanding of licensing and publishing rights, and litigation uniquely positions her to address the complex issues that can arise in creative projects.
She is licensed to practice in Arizona, and the U.S. District Court, District of Arizona. She is a member of the Maricopa County Superior Court, Judge Pro Tempore, Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, and the Defense Research Institute. She currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel and is the former State Board President and a current board member of the Arizona Women Lawyers Association.
