Benjamin Lenhart, one of Portland’s most well-regarded mergers and acquisitions attorneys, has joined Tonkon Torp as a partner in its Business Department. Lenhart comes to Tonkon Torp after practicing law at Lane Powell for 20 years.

Lenhart’s practice focuses on representing both acquirers and targets in mergers and acquisitions. He also brings considerable expertise in general business, corporate and securities law, business transition preparation and planning, and commercial finance transactions.
Lenhart has been recognized in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business since 2008, as a leader in the field of Corporate/Merger & Acquisition Law, and in The Best Lawyers in America since 2013, for his work in Mergers & Acquisitions.

A native of Vienna, Virginia, Lenhart has spent most of his life in Oregon. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Whitman College in 1991, and his Juris Doctor cum laude, from Lewis & Clark Law School in 1996. He is currently a member (and past Chair) of the Executive Committee of the Oregon State Bar Business Law Section, and recently completed five years of service on the board of Westview Youth Lacrosse.
